Barton Springs

This past weekend a few of us went to visit Barton Springs. 60 - 70 degree water temperatue out in the 90 - 100 degree weather just screams the perfect summer day! We got there around 11:30am and as we expected, there was the long line of people there, waiting to get in the Barton Springs pool to start a full day of relaxation under the sun.

Going to Barton Springs has been another highlight of my REU here is Austin. After being in the pool for a few hours, we decided to walk around the trail by the pool to explore Zilker Park. The whole area was beautiful, and again, reminded us that in Austin you really get a little bit of everything. On the trail, you get across a nice bridge where one can get a good view of the city skyline, plus the wonderful view of the river and its kayakers.
